Dedicated to the cause of grieving families, "La Maison Darche" has placed emphasis on implementing a wide variety of services. Everything is set up to meeting the needs expressed by the family and finding solutions to uncommon or specific demands.

The specialized staff and the technological as well as the organizational facilities of "La Maison Darche" enable them to offer traditional funeral services (burial or cremation), personalized ceremonies, funerals that respect the personal and religious values which conform to legal norms of both Quebec and Canada.

In addition to the services above, there are also reception halls, special events such as conferences, concerts and special celebrations. Families may consult the documentation centre for several types of books and videos on various subjects designed to help family caregivers or children coping with grief.

With the support of the Dignity Network, "La Maison Darche" can provide a wide variety of innovative programs such as dealing with the protection of children and grandchildren, the Compassion bereavement flight, the Compassion telephone line, grief counselling, and community programs such as Escape School and Smart & Senior.

To facilitate the process and to properly identify your needs, we suggest, as a first step, a meeting with our family counsellors. These counsellors understand the importance of their role in counselling and offering compassionate support to grieving families. With a sympathetic ear, they take the time to listen and analyze your requests while respecting your priorities and your financial situation.

Establishing a trusting relationship with a family counsellor relieves much of the unnecessary stress with regards to choices that must be made and will result in sound decisions. Being able to clearly understand these decisions takes away a tremendous burden and allows the family to better come to terms with their grief.
