History

Located on Montreal's Mount Royal, close to the Notre-Dame-des Neiges Cemetery, the Centre funéraire Côte-des Neiges, opened its doors in 1997. It was the first funeral centre of this type in Quebec to offer a place of meditation, where people could find help and support to look upon the future with hope.

Since its launching, the Centre funéraire Côte-des Neiges has been offering integrated burial and cremation. Working in close cooperation with the Notre-Dame-des-Neiges Cemetery, the Centre has greatly simplified the administrative process and brought more                                                   meaning to the funeral rite.

Apart from this close partnership between these two establishments, the Funeral Centre has also created solid ties with Montreal's large community by developing a great number of special events (lectures, theatrical presentations) or by supporting several events (exhibits, seminars, etc.).

Its continued presence within the community and its know-how have allowed the Centre to build a distinct identity that follows Notre-Dame-des-Neiges Cemetery's long-lasting reputation for excellence. Since the year of its foundation in 1846, it has always been recognized by many as the most important cemetery in Canada.
