Dignity Memorial® Public Servants Program

“I am pleased that Dignity Memorial providers honour members of the police service that fall in the line of duty by providing a funeral at no cost. These brave men and women put their lives on the line every day so when a tragedy occurs, it is comforting to know that Dignity Memorial providers care enough to assist these families in their greatest time of need.”

- Colin Millar

Retired Chief of Police, Hamilton Police Service

Hamilton, ON

Dignity Memorial® providers created the Dignity Memorial® Public Servants Program to recognize the courage and selflessness of those who serve. This program offers dignified and honourable tributes, at no cost, for career and volunteer law enforcement officers, firefighters and emergency services personnel who fall in the line of duty.

For more than ten years, the program has helped families deal with the emotional and financial burdens associated with the sudden loss of a loved one. In addition to providing burial services, the program offers extended counseling services to family members, as well as the opportunity to create an Internet tribute as a loving memorial.
